Over the years we have collected many photos documenting the journey this orchestra has been through.
Twice a year the orchestra holds concerts in local areas to bring the delight of music to the community. The music performed has ranged from Movie Themes, to Holst, Bach, and Christmas music. The range of music that is played is extraordinary, and gets cycled each year. We are supported by so many volunteers, community members, board members, and sponsors who make it possible to play in these spaces, and continue playing. Donated instruments, music, and equipment are appreciated by the entire orchestra.
Newspaper Articles
Through the local paper, news of our ensemble travel through the Pass. Documenting the older moments, the newspaper has held to be a great resource for looking at what the CCO used to be like and the folks who started it.
Music Festival
Since 1924, the music festival has been a community event celebrating the musical talent of young children from the ages of 5-18. This festival hosts many talented musicians to adjudicate at these concerts. Performances can win awards, and participants can be recommended to perform in Edmonton for provincials.
The Crowsnest Orchestra has been a proud participant of this festival for a long time.
